Environment configuration
Each tenant's configuration under Config in Curade, from capacity thresholds and custom transactions to tags, maintenance windows and email groups.
On this page
Config in the sidebar opens Environment Configuration for the tenant you picked, with one page for each part below. A Tenant Admin can change what is there. Adding and deleting items takes a Platform Admin, or a custom role with the tenant create and delete permissions (Roles and permissions).
Threshold
Threshold sets the start and end lines for CPU, memory and disk utilisation that capacity planning judges each host against. Readings between the two lines count as stable, and the start cannot exceed the end. Save changes keeps new values and Reset puts the saved ones back. Configure Threshold on the capacity planning page sets the same values (Capacity planning).
Transactions
Transactions lists the tenant's monitored transactions, which the KPI report reads, for the sources you picked. You can rename a transaction and tag it, one at a time or several at once with Bulk Edit and Save All. Register Custom Transaction adds one the inventory does not hold, from an application, the name its user action has in your organisation's monitoring platform, and the name Curade shows. Transactions that share a name and a code or address count as one row in reports.
Tags
Tags groups the tenant's hosts or transactions under names of your own, which reports can group by. Add Tag creates a tag over the hosts or transactions you pick. Import Tags brings in host tags from one of the tenant's sources. When an imported tag shares its name with one already there, Keep Both keeps the two and Override replaces yours.
Maintenance windows
Maintenance Windows records the stretches of time when chosen hosts or transactions were down for planned work, so reports can leave them out of the figures. Add Maintenance Window names one, picks its hosts or transactions and sets its dates.
Email holds the tenant's email groups, the named lists of addresses that reports go to. Add Email Group names a group and takes its addresses, separated by commas or new lines.
